IDM stores all site logins (user/pass) combinations in registry. here is the full key path to add/edit/delete values
Start > Run > type "regedit" (without quotes) and navigate to the following key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DownloadManager\Passwords
Its looks something like this:
* their are currently no site logins stored and that's why you see nothing in the above screen shot.
A typical registry file will looks similar to this.
In order to use this key & to be able to download as a premium user,Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DownloadManager\Passwords\http://hotfile.com]"User"=hex(0):33,39,38,31,38,36,34,06"EncPassword"=hex(0):6h,79,76,6d,61,6t,0s
you need to import this key into your system registry. and here is how we do it.
Copy the above code & save the file as "hotfile.reg" (don't forget to end the file with .reg extension or else it won't work)
Once done, you will have a file similar to this.
Now, just double click on the file and answer "YES" when prompted.
Doing this will enter the encrypted user/pass for site hotfile.com into windows registry for IDM software
In order to download as a premium user, exit IDM if its already running in the system taskbar and then reopen it.
Grab the download link & don't paste it in your browser, instead paste it in IDM & your download will begin as a premium user.
* the above registry key is just an example and it won't work. i have used it for the sake of tutorial only.
